Summer Sand Bucket List Event and my first ever Speed Scrap!

Each SS you participate in earns you a mini kit as a reward, and all of the minis coordinate to form a large "Summer Bucket List" themed collab!

New Release and Flash sale!

I am so excited for iNSD! Is there anything more exciting than getting a good bargain? I love all the energy in the digital scrapbooking community during DSD and iNSD weekends. There is always so much excitement and it seems like a new surprise awaits every time you take a look at your favorite designers or favorite store!

I am going to be shopping and bargain hunting and freebie grabbing just like all of you, but in between I am planning to do what I can to bring a little more fun and excitement to the weekend for all of you! I am going to be offering "flash sales" throughout the weekend. Every time I think to change it (and my child lets me near the computer!), I am going to be choosing a different product at random to offer at a huge huge HUGE discount. How huge? Farewell to Build a Memory

I am sad to announce that my friend Raquel of Build a Memory has decided to close her shop for awhile to resolve some things in her personal life. She promises she will be back, hopefully in the fall, but her shop at Stuff to Scrap is closing at the end of July. Grand Opening at With Love Studio!

My store at With Love Studio is officially open! Not everything is in the store at this point, but it will be slowly added over the next couple weeks. Everything in my shop will be 50% off through the end of the month to celebrate!

I have some exciting news! I have been invited to join the With Love Studio team! I am hard at work getting everything repackaged and the new shop set up, and I will let you all know as soon as I have a grand opening date scheduled. Talk To The Animals Collab

I am so proud to be part of the amazing benefit collab organized by MollyScraps! There are some fabulous designers involved in this collab!

On April 10, 2013 a horrific case of animal abuse was uncovered in Madison County, Indiana.

Over 150 dead farm animals…

About 100 survivors…

The Animal Protection League found foster homes for them in 2 days! Support the ongoing care by donating $10 or more and receive the Talk to the Animals collab free! Talk To The Animals Collab

I am really excited to be part of a collaboration project with a bunch of fantastic designers! Molly Harbridge of Molly Scraps organized this project to benefit the Animal Protection League following a horrific case of animal abuse in her home town. We've all submitted our portions, and she's hard at work doing quality control and pulling everything together for a May 1st release. Here is a sneak peek of my portion:

No Crown and Sash For Me!

Alas, I did not make the cut for Designer Darling and I will not be moving into the final round. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad and disappointed, but I am still very proud of what I did in the contest and how far I did make it. I thank you all for your support, and I thank the judges and fellow participants for teaching me so much!

If life permits, I plan to follow along and make a full kit for the final round, so keep an eye out here for more freebies in a couple weeks! Thanks again!

Backyard Explorer Add-On and DOTM!

First off, I wanted to let you know there is an add-on to my Backyard Explorer mini available on my Facebook page!

I am also excited to announce that I am the Designer of the Month at Southern Comfort Scraps! My entire store will be 33% off during the month of March, in celebration of my darling daughter turning three on March 31st! Here are some of the items available in my shop:

Round 4 and Winter Wonders

I am moving on to Round 4 of Designer Darling! There were no cuts after Round 3, but I am confident I would have made the cut if there had been, as my collection was very well received. I cannot believe I am in the second to last round! I never thought I would make it this far. This round is perfect for me: we aren't allowed to use any CU this round (with the exception of a few things they provided). I don't know if I have mentioned this here before or not, but I am primarily a "from scratch" designer. I use very little CU, and what I use is primarily overlays and a few of the "basics" (ribbons, buttons, flowers, etc.) that aren't that interesting for me to make. So this round should be perfect for me. I have chosen a theme and I am ready to go! Keep an eye out Wednesday for my submission!

The other reason for this post is that I have another beautiful layout from my CT Lórien to share with you! She made this with my kit Winter Wonders. Lórien is from Brazil, and she has never even seen snow! Check out her blog post to hear more about what winter is like in her part of the world! For her second layout, she chose to do a NON winter layout, which I think is fantastic! She's really demonstrating how versatile the kit is with this layout, don't you think?
