I'm back, and I have a new release!

I apologize for the unplanned absence. Life happened, I'm sure you can all relate! And then, just to make things even better, I had some pretty dramatic computer issues. But life has calmed a bit and my computer is sorted, so I am back at it. I hope you enjoy my latest release, Plopsasaurus!

I took the name and the concept for this kit from the brilliant imagination of my three year old daughter. Several months ago, she introduced us to her imaginary monster friend Plopsasaurus, and he's been a member of the family ever since! He taught her to roar, and he protects her from the bad monsters. He also tends to get into some trouble now and then!

Here's a closer look at the different parts of this kit. I put a lot of work into this, and I think its a very cohesive kit. You get 36 elements, 18 papers, and 7 colors of alphas!

Here are some great layouts with the kit. The first is by Vanessa, the next two are by Marieke, and the final two I did myself:

Plopsasaurus is available exclusively at With Love Studio, and will be 20% off for the first week its available!

Two New Releases!

I've gotten a bit behind on my blogging of late. Let's remedy that, shall we? Last week I released "The Useful Choo Choo," inspired by my daughter's favorite train character! Do you have a little train lover in your family?

The Useful Choo Choo inludes 20 papers, an alpha with uppercase letters and numbers, and 34 elements.

Here is a layout I did with the kit:

And new in my store today is Summers In Maine. This one is close to my heart... its about Maine, the place I miss every single day! Its about home! This kit is great for scrapping vacation photos, or if you're a Mainer too... maybe Staycation photos! There are Maine specific elements, but the kit is versatile enough to work with any sort of coastal or woodsy pictures.

Summers In Maine includes 38 elements; 20 papers; and a full alpha with upper, lower, numbers and symbols.

Here is the first layout I've made with the kit. I have plans to do more!

And finally, don't miss out on my CU sale, which is running through the end of the month!

New Release: Backyard Explorer

Some of you may remember the Backyard Explorer mini I made as part of the Designer Darling contest. It was one of my favorite kits ever, so I chose to expand it into a full size kit. It includes 20 papers, more than 35 elements, and 2 alphas!

You can buy the full kit in my store, or you can buy papers, elements, and alphas separately.

Here is a page I made with it. This little cutie is Jaxon, my friend Cindy's son:

I have a 25% off May Flowers sale going on right now, too! So its a great time to buy!

To celebrate the release of this new kit, I have created a quick page freebie for you!

You can download the freebie HERE.

And finally, I am still looking for additional CT members. If you are interested, please email me at callalunacreations@mail.com or message me through the Callaluna Creations Facebook page. I have very mellow requirements!

Designer Darling Freebies Links!

Hi! I apologize, but I am not going to manage the play along for Round 5 of Designer Darling. I just cannot seem to stay healthy for five minutes....

BUT, I wanted to share the links to everything I did in the contest, in case you had trouble registering at STS and were unable to download them. These are LIMITED TIME freebies, as I loved everything I did so much that I plan to clean it all up and expand it and pop it into my store at some point. Speaking of my store, did I mention I am Designer of the Month and have a 33% off sale during March to celebrate my daughter's third birthday?

For Round 1, I made Duck, Duck, Bath:

That can be downloaded HERE.

There was also an add on for Duck, Duck, Bath:

That is available HERE.

For Round 2, I made Derby Girl Wannabe:

You can get that HERE.

For Round 3, I did A Case of the Sniffles, which is CU-friendly:

Snag that HERE.

And last but not least, I submitted Backyard Explorer for Round 4:

That is available HERE.

I made an add-on for that one, too:

The add on is HERE.

I hope that helps those of you who had trouble registering! Remember, grab them now because I am going to remove the links eventually! Thanks again for all of the support I received while participating!

Here is a reminder of what my Round 4 entry looks like:

I had hoped to have an add on up on my Facebook page tonight, but I am exhausted from burning the candle at both ends and I've decided it can wait until tomorrow! :) Keep an eye out for it!

Designer Darling Round 4

Wow, this was a tough round. I initially thought it would be easy for me, as the challenge this time was to make a kit completely from scratch. I consider myself a "from scratch" designer, as 95% of my elements start with a blank canvas and my imagination. But before this challenge, I never realized how important my extensive stash of styles, custom shapes, brushes, and overlays has become to me! Designing without them felt like designing with one hand tied behind my back! But what is a girl to do? I reset to defaults and I played with Photoshop and I learned about a billion new things! Everything in my kit is FROM SCRATCH (for real this time!), with the exception of the overlay from the CU kit we were given, which I used on one element. And I love it! I am so proud of this kit, and I can't wait to expand it into full size.... though I don't think I will stick to the "from scratch" rules with the expansion! I miss my styles!

This theme is a bit of a departure for me, as its sort of a boyish theme and I have a girl, and its filled with creepy crawly bugs and even a bird, and I hate bugs and birds! But I tried to keep the color palette neutral so it would work for boys and girls, and as it turns out, bugs are lots of fun to make! Presenting "Backyard Explorer":

The download link can be found in THIS THREAD. Please check back tomorrow for the voting poll, I would appreciate your continuing support. I've made it this far, I want to go all the way!

Designer Darling Competition FREEBIES!!!!

You know how when you have people who really believe in you, you can sometimes get swept up in their enthusiasm and push yourself farther than you ever have before? That happened to me this week. I have two wonderful cheerleaders, my best friend Sarah (of Sairi Designs) and my friend Raquel (of Build a Memory), who believe in me and encouraged me to enter the Designer Darling Competition at Stuff to Scrap. I am terrified, because I feel like I am way out of my league (there are people in this contest I have BOUGHT things from before!!!). Furthermore, I am SLOW. I get a little better at designing every day, but I don't get much faster. I am slow and deliberate and NOT in the tortoise-winning-the-race sort of way!

But I've survived Round 1. No need to applaud, I haven't even heard from the judges yet. But there are no cuts in Round 1, so the fact that I managed to finish my kit means I get to advance. Woot! This is my submission. I call it Duck... Duck... BATH! It was inspired by my vast collection of rubber duckies.

You can find the links to download my mini and all of the other fantastic submissions HERE. Please PLEASE go and download it, and encourage your friends to do the same? I need all the cheerleaders I can get to carry me though this competition!

Here is a layout I made with it:

Furthermore, my lucky little readers... I have an add-on in the works! Keep an eye out here, I will post it in the next day or two!

Also, please head over to Sarah's blog to get a peek at her submission, as well!

Thank you to all of you for the support! Your comments and emails and messages have kept me motivated these past few months, and all of my improvements are thanks to you guys!!

The Adventures of Mr. Chip and Friends

It seems like feast or famine on this blog - I sometimes go 3 weeks without posting anything new, and then this is my third freebie this week! If you're looking for the STS Road Trip freebie, scroll down! And if you keep scrolling, I made a Halloween mini this week as well! Please snag everything and enjoy! I would love to see any LO's you make with my creations! Email me at callalunacreations@mail.com. I'd also love it if you were to follow my blog! You can be updated via email every time I post a new freebie! Just pop your email into that box to your left that says, "Follow By Email."

This kit started as just a random project I was working on, but when the color palette for the STS October Color Challenge was released I knew it was meant to go with this idea! So I recolored some things I'd already made, and then I added some elements, and some more elements, and an alpha, and a few more elements... before I knew it, I had a full size kit! I am excited to share this with you all, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Here's a LO I made with The Adventures of Mr. Chip and Friends. Its only fitting that it features my daughter Luna, as she was the one that inspired this project AND named Mr. Chip (pretty clever for a 2 year old!).

Here's the kit preview:

This kit is huge, and the glitters made it an extremely huge file. I was forced to break it into three parts to keep it at reasonable download size. Please, please, PLEASE grab all three parts! I always get more downloads of one part than another when I split things up.

Part 1 (elements and alpha) is HERE!
Part 2 (papers) is HERE!
Part 3 (more papers) is HERE!

Thanks for stopping by, leave some love if you have a moment! EDIT (November 6, 2012): I had a thought. HERE IS A TIP when using this kit: the pieces, especially the hats, are designed specifically to fit on the potato. So if you need to resize items for your page, dress the potato FIRST, and then resize as a whole, or you will drive yourself nuts trying to get the hat to the right size!

STS November 2012 Road Trip - "Family Mealtime"

It's past my bedtime (hey, it's late in MY time zone!), but I nearly forgot to put up my STS Road Trip content! It's been that kind of a day...

The theme this month was "Family Mealtime." Initially, I was a bit uninspired by the theme and the color palette, and I considered not even participating. But I had this little niggling of an idea in the back of my head that kept bugging me. When I thought of the words "Family Mealtime," I thought about the never-ending battle we are in the thick of at our house - to teach our 2 year old some table manners! It seems hardly a meal passes without a spill or food on the floor or food smeared all over the clothes she JUST put on! I thought about all the photos I have of her covered in food (adorable and annoying at the same time!). And I realized, plenty of other people probably have pictures like that too. So I went with it.

Submitted for your approval, the "What a Mess" mini:

Download it HERE, and please take a minute to leave some love! It will only take you a minute and your comments mean so much to me! If you really want to send me into spasms of glee (I am not exaggerating here, I really do get that excited!), email me a layout you've made with some of my stuff at callalunacreations@mail.com!! If you are cool with it, I'll even post it here for everyone to see!

What's the rush? Why not take a few minutes to scroll down and discover some of the other FREE goodies I have for you? While you're at it, see that little box over there to the left that says "Follow By Email"? Why not pop your email address in so you will always be alerted when I put up a new freebie?

And one last bit of shameless begging: I am looking for volunteer quality checkers! My darling friend Sarah is overworked! I need a few more sets of eyes to look things over before they go live. Its not an especially complicated job, and you'll get to see new stuff before anyone else! I also might be persuaded to make some custom stuff for my helpers.... If you're interested, please email me at callalunacreations@mail.com.

I'm sure you're getting antsy by now, so put the pedal to the metal and speed on to your next stop at Mommy Me Time Scrapper. Here's a road map to tuck into your back pocket in case you take a wrong turn somewhere down the road:

First Trip With the Triune Blog Train!

This month marks the first trip for the Triune Blog Train hosted by my friend Sarah of Sairi Designs. I hope you will check out all the stops, leave plenty of love, and share the links with your friends! She's looking for more participants for next month! You do not have to be religious to participate (I am not), just respectful. She's organized it to leave in the middle of the month so its easier for designers to participate while still contributing to all the trains that start at the beginning of the month. So please, please, consider coming aboard! Anyone who is interested should contact Sarah via the Sairi Designs Facebook Page.

The theme this month was "Children Are a Gift From God." I focused on children! Those are my daughter's footprints I snuck in there! Here's what I came up with:

I had to break it into two parts, because its nearly a full kit. Be sure to grab both Part 1 and Part 2!

As always, I really really appreciate comments or emails (callalunacreations@mail.com), and make an effort to respond to every one! I would really love to see some pages people have made with my things, and I'd love to share them here!

Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is the fabulous Karen Diamond Designs. Here's the whole list, to help you find your way around:
